Our Work
Our foundation is fully funded by our events.
We strive to make these events so much fun in hopes of a day sharing Erin stories and just enjoying being together.
The heart of the matter is all of the women and families we are able to help. We are lucky enough to speak directly with them, sharing Erin's story, and hearing about theirs. This allows us to best understand how to help them.
We are consistently humbled, heartbroken, but honored to be able to help support these families. Some of their stories are below.
Your donations make this all possible.
Lives Changed. Because You Gave.
The Fighter from Olmsted Falls
A single mother from Olmsted Falls who is currently battling Stage 4 metastatic cancer. Her journey began in 2017 with a bone cancer diagnosis that has since spread throughout her body, including her shoulders and knees, making it painful and difficult to walk.
Over the past seven years, her life has revolved around constant scans, treatments, and surgeries. She was forced to leave her career in the IT field and now lives on disability. Through it all, she has remained remarkably upbeat — her will to live reminded our team so much of Erin. After her husband left, it became just her and her 18-year-old daughter, facing this fight together with quiet courage and unwavering strength.
When Everything Hit at Once
A mother of four young children — all under the age of 9, including one with multiple disabilities — who went to the ER after experiencing leg pain and discovering a lump in her stomach. A PET scan revealed additional concerns in her armpit, and after further testing, she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
She now faces a long road of chemotherapy and an upcoming double mastectomy. With her husband recently laid off and unable to work due to treatment, the family has no source of income. Our foundation was able to step in and help pay their mortgage, providing a measure of stability during this deeply uncertain time.
Twelve Days and a Second Chance
Another single mother recently underwent a mastectomy, expecting a standard recovery. Instead, her hospital stay turned into a life-threatening ordeal. She faced multiple complications, required several blood transfusions, underwent four surgeries, and was admitted to the ICU. The physical toll was so severe that she suffered a mild heart attack — and for a time, her medical team wasn’t sure she would make it.
After twelve days in the hospital, she finally returned home. Though she’s now stable, her recovery journey is far from over. Her strength and resilience continue to carry her forward through each uncertain day.
Nine Kids, Two Mothers
A mother of five — with children ranging in age from 5 to 18 — is currently battling Stage 3 breast cancer. Determined to get the best possible care, she made the courageous decision to move her entire family from Fort Wayne, Indiana to Cleveland to receive treatment at the Cleveland Clinic.
Now living under one roof with her sister, their combined households is two adults with nine children. She had to leave her job as a certified nursing assistant, but has recently secured disability assistance. She’s currently undergoing chemotherapy, with radiation and immunotherapy still ahead on her long road to recovery.
The Nurse Who Became the Patient
A Cleveland mother of two — a 13-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son — is currently on palliative care, bravely facing Stage 4 breast cancer that has spread to her lungs. Her fight began 13 years ago, the first time while she was pregnant with her daughter. This is her third battle with cancer.
What keeps her going is the desire to be present for her children. A former registered nurse, she hasn’t been able to work in years. Our support is helping to provide essentials — from rent to food to clothing — and she shared that it’s been a long time since someone simply extended a helping hand.
Healing for Her, Stability for Them
A Lakewood mother of two — a 17-month-old baby girl and a 7-year-old son — is currently battling Stage 3 breast cancer. Diagnosed in May, she’s been doing her best to care for her young children while preparing for major surgery.
With her upcoming recovery period and inability to work, her family has been overwhelmed trying to find full-time childcare. Our foundation was able to step in and relieve some of their financial stress by covering the cost of daycare during her surgery and healing process.
She Chose Survival More Than Once
A Lakewood mother of two — a 7-year-old and an 8-year-old — is currently undergoing treatment for metastatic bone cancer that has spread throughout her body, including her spine. The toll of radiation has been intense, but she remains determined to stay strong for her children.
This is her second cancer battle — she was first diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in 2019. On top of her health challenges, she separated from an abusive marriage in 2020 and has since been doing everything she can to provide for her family. Relying on food stamps, she’s been carrying an enormous load. Our support brings not just financial relief, but a reminder that she’s not facing this alone.
The Mother Refusing to Repeat History
A single mother of three — ages 23, 14, and 5 — from Bedford was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer this past June. The news, while devastating, wasn’t entirely unexpected; tragically, both her mother and grandmother passed away from the same disease.
Now facing the same battle, she’s determined to break the cycle and be there for her children. Her strength is rooted in deep generational loss — and a fierce desire to create a different ending for her own story.
Holding It All Together, Again
An Amherst mother of two boys is facing her third battle with breast cancer — this time, it’s Stage 4 metastatic. The fight has taken a heavy toll, forcing her to stop working. Though she’s applied for disability, approval has not yet come, leaving her family in a difficult financial position.
Our LLE donation is helping cover essential costs — from medical treatments to holistic care, and everyday bills — giving her family a bit of relief in a time filled with uncertainty.
Healing Takes Time — and Help
A South Euclid mother of three is currently battling Stage 2 breast cancer. Her outlook is hopeful, but the journey hasn’t been easy. Following a recent mastectomy, she’s now undergoing chemotherapy and radiation — and unable to work during treatment.
With no income and still awaiting disability approval, finances have become a major source of stress. Our donation is helping bridge the gap, providing her family with some much-needed relief as she focuses on healing.
